Company History

The furnishers G F Brennan & Sons Ltd were formed by Nigel’s Grandparents (George and Louise) in 1917. This business was successful for many years and after the Second World War, as was customary at the time, an Estate Agency office was started as a complement to the main business. The furniture business thrived under Nigel’s Father (Francis) and Uncle (Ken) until the furniture business and premises in Le Bordage and Mansell Street were sold in 1980. It was at this point that Brennan & Co was first formed under the title of Nigel Brennan & Co with Nigel as Sole Principal. For 5 years the business remained in Mansell Street but in 1985 a move was made to our present prominent corner site at 1 The Grange when the firm became known as Brennan & Co, still under the same principal.  In more recent times, Brennan & Co has become a limited company.
